So what's been happening recently? Well, I'm totally hooked on a Youtube series called Hollywood Graveyard. I didn't go looking for it, I just found it in my sidebar when I was watching other videos. Admittedly, at first, I was reluctant to click on it. It just sounded kind of cheesy. How wrong was I? This has to be one of the more professionally run Youtube channels I've ever viewed.
I guess if you've read any of my posts from years ago, you'll know that I've always had a thing for cemeteries. The cemeteries we have in Australia aren't all that old (With the exception of Parramatta and Rookwood) and some aren't all that grand. Also, throughout history, there's never really been a boom in mausoleums. I simply love cemetery architecture! When I lived in and around Sydney I could happily spend days wandering around Rookwood and I often did - sometimes when I was actually supposed to be at college!
Anyway! If you want to learn about Hollywood from the silent screen to the present, check out Hollywood Graveyard. Arthur Dark provides just enough info to keep you interested, he doesn't kind of warble on like some do. I don't know how many videos I've paused just so I can google whoever it is that he's just mentioned so I can find out more info. It's also amazing and sad at just how many people that we forget about. That cliched saying that life is a flash in the pan is oh so true!
Until next time! Which could be tomorrow or next year!
